PONENT BEACH

The "Platja de Ponent" is the second in length of Salou. It goes from the mole to the village limits of Cambrils. It is an urban beach with a lot of services. Because of its ideal conditions for bathing it has been repeatedly awarded with the "Blue Flag".
In old times, when people of different sex couldn't bath together it was the women's beach. It was also known as Barenys Beach.

LLEVANT BEACH

It is the most popular and the largest in length (1.200m.). It is also an urban beach with all kind of services and comforts offering a large variety of possibilities to have a great day.
It has a lot of leisure and sports activities all summer long, being repeatedly awarded with the "Blue Flag" due to its ideal conditions.

CAPELLANS' BEACH

This is a nice beach of around 250 meters long. It is limited by the walls of the old "Llatzeret" (Lazard House) and the salient of the Porroig's Point. Before uncontrolled urbanization the place was full of dunes and a splendid pine tree forest.
It is a beach of easy access with good services and it has been repeatedly awarded with the Blue Flag for its ideal conditions.

LLEGUADETS' BEACH

It is a very quiet and small cove in the shelter of Punta de Porroig (Porroig Point). You can access through stairs located in the De la Torrassa Street and through a path that skirts the rocks from the Platja Llarga (Llarga Beach). In that case you can get there from the Carretera de la Costa (Coast's Road).
This cove still keeps all its charm despite the buildings that surround it.

LLARGA BEACH

It is 600 meters long of fine sand and it is the longest in Cap Salou (Salou's Cape). It is skirted by a long pine tree forest which was a camping site several years ago.
You can get there by stairs on both sides. From Carretera de la Costa (Coast's Road) and from Carrer dels Replanells (Replanells Street) next to the Hotel Negresco.
The beach is of public use but its accesses and the pine trees are of private property.

PENYA TALLADA BEACH

This beach is one of the charmest places of Salou's Cape. It is a small cove and its name, "Penya Tallada" (Sculptured Rock), comes from the curious stone formation that is in that place. It is a kind of a stone wall penetrating into the sea. It was formed by the erosion.
Separated by this natural stone wall that is the Penya Tallada, it is the minimal cove of Les Mabres. A beatiful and very quiet shelter place to have a bath.

FONT CAVE AND VINYA CAVE

The name of "Cala Font" (Fountain Cave) comes from a natural fountain that poured permanently. The fountain dissapeared when the area started to build up. The Font Cave is chapped in three calcareous stone points. The second cave in length is known as Cala Vinya (Vinya Cave). The third cave is so small that has no name.
This beach was a very important boarding and landing point in the past centuries. It also was one of the favourite landing points for the pirates in their raids.

CRANCS CAVE

The Crancs cave is a beatiful beach of about 70 meters long. It is protected by a great stone mass in its eastern side. It is still quite well preserved and you can get there from the Carrer Pins del Cintet (Pins del Cintet Street).
At the downhill side of this street a slopped short asphalted path gets you to the sand.

REGUEROT CLAVEGAR

This is practically the only stone covered beach of Salou. So it is more uncomfortable for bathing but it offers interesting possibilities for naturalists and for those who like to enjoy more peacefulness, because here tourism is minimal. You can easily get there through the Pinosmar neighbourhood.
